Samenvatting:
With a double layer stencil it is possible to print fine metal lines withan improved line definition compared to screen printing. To test the
potential of stencil printing, solar cells were made on 125 min pseudo square
BP substrates using an industrial process scheme. The cell characteristics
were compared with screen printed cells from the BP production line. An
improvement of 3% in the short circuit current Jsc was achieved by printing
finer and higher lines. To obtain this result several improvements were
needed in the production of the electroformed nickel stencil to make the
stencils more reliable and rigid. The printing behaviour of the stencils is
improved by modifying the lay-out and finish of the stencil. 8 refs.
