Samenvatting:
The possibilities of a fatigue test, whereby an external force is appliedon one cross section of the wind turbine blade, are studied on the basis of
designs for fatigue tests of blades with a length between 20 and 30 meters.
The blades are fixed at the blade root during the tests. Some principal
solutions for harmonic excitation are discussed, as well as the
implementation and exploitation of the fatigue tests. The feasibility of a
number of actuator systems is examined. In the conclusions it is summarized
which fatigue tests can be realized, by what means and against how much cost.
