Samenvatting:
For a pitch controlled
variable speed wind turbine, a feed forward control structure based
on the estimation of rotor averaged wind speed has been developed and
analyzed. The additional control action will accelerate ordinary rotor
speed feedback control to resist disturbances of wind speed turbulence
and wind gusts.
Wind speed estimation
is based on reconstruction of aerodynamic torque from measurements and
a priori knowledge of rotor behaviour. The theoretical base arises from
