Samenvatting:
Single layer suspension coatings on extruded membrane support tubesare shown to have a relatively large density of defects with pore sizes
larger than that are found in bulk material made from the same suspension.
Increasing the thickness of the coating does not lead to a significant
improvement. However, by applying a second layer the pore throat distribution
approaches that of a bulk compact of the same suspension.
