Samenvatting:
The results of the project on the title subject (EWTS 1) are presentedand the contents of the second project (EWTS 2), which has started in January
1996, are outlined. An important activity in both EWTS projects is the
development of a network of measuring institutes in Europe, called MEASNET.
Members of MEASNET will perform wind energy related measurements in
accordance with strict and well documented procedures. The measurement
results will be mutually accepted by all other members and MEASNET can thus
be considered as a major breakthrough in the harmonization of the wind
turbine market within the European Community. The MEASNET activities are also
