Gepresenteerd op: PV in Europe - From PV Technology to Energy Solutions Conference and Exhibition, Rome, Italy, 7-11 oktober 2002.
Samenvatting:
Solar radiation is converted into both heat and electricity by PVT panels. The basic concept PVT panel consists of a PV laminate that is joined
with a sheet-and-tube type solar thermal absorber. From the start of
the PVT development in The Netherlands in 1996, three consecutive prototypes
were designed, built and tested. Increase of the thermal absorption
was the main drive for the first and second prototype, while the third
prototype was developed especially for improved manufacturability. The
resulting PVT panel is produced by direct lamination of the PV subsystem
onto the sheet-and-tube substrate, resulting in good thermal performance
and basically the same production steps as for
conventional PV panels. The developed PVT collectors will be demonstrated
tirst in an EC funded project in the U.K., where the new head office
of RES will be equipped with, amongst other renewable energy measures,
60 m² PVT.
