Samenvatting:
In this thesis the costs of deep geothermal energy in the Netherlands are analysed. A database is constructed using data from the existing projects in the Netherlands and nearby countries, producing an equation for costs of drilling. A model is developed in Java, building on prior models developed by TNO, using the methodology for calculating SDE+ subsidies by ECN. This model primarily calculates the Unit Technical Costs of deep geothermal projects. This allows for rapid assessment of the economic attractiveness of locations and quick comparison to the SDE+ base rates for possible subsidy applications.
