Samenvatting:
Based on the results of a literature survey an overview is given ofexisting energy conservation components. Also aspects with regard to design
and modelling are discussed with the intention to close the gap between
simulations and design. Closing the gap will result in a better integration
of energy saving components in the design of buildings. A large number of
tools (216) by means of which thermal aspects of buildings or building
designs can be evaluated are listed and discussed. Based on the literature
survey and the discussion of the tools the present set up of the doctoral
research is elaborated. 73 refs.
