Within the Fourth Framework Programme of the European Union, theUniversity of Amsterdam, Netherlands, and the Netherlands Energy Research
Foundation ECN are cooperating with AEA-Technology Harwell, UK, Siemens/KWU
Erlangen, Germany, and the University of Bochum, Germany, in a programme on
Nuclear Safety, section B2.1, to establish the physico-chemical properties of
selected compounds. The title study is part of that programme and summarizes
the activities performed at ECN and the University of Amsterdam on the
