Samenvatting:
An overview is given of present and future options to produce energy along the highway: photovoltaic systems, heat exchangers, the use of biomass, wind turbines, piezo elements and Peltier elements. Attention is paid to costs for the production and installation of such systems, the energy yields, the possibilities for innovations in case of installation along the highway, and the impact on traffic safety and the landscape. The results of this study can be used for discussion within the planned pilot project 'Energetic Pavement, which is part of the theme Pavement to the Future, aimed at innovations in and around the infrastructure of roads. The project must result in innovative and sustainable energy production systems along the highway. 69 p.
