Samenvatting:
To determine the emission from secondary building materials after along-range exposure to leaching in practice, analyses were carried out on
samples of building materials, taken from roads and the underground, from ten
drilling cores. Also emission calculations on the basis of percolation
analyses were carried out during the two years period before the construction
of the road. Emission calculations were also carried on the basis of the
leaching tests of long-range exposed building materials and on the basis of
leaching data of non-leached building materials. Next to the emission
calculations, the emission is predicted on the basis of leaching models in
order to be able to estimate the emission for practical conditions. Those
calculations were carried out for percolation dominated systems on three
locations and for diffusion-controlled emission on one location. 13 figs., 27
