Samenvatting:
The current state of affairs and expected developments concerningphotovoltaic solar energy (PV) are described in this report. PV is considered to be one of the most important renewable energy sources for the coming century. PV technology is relatively mature, but commercial development is still at an early stage, largely due to the high cost of electricity from PV. Various initiatives to quickly and substantially reduce costs by increasing the scale of production and stimulating the market are being developed
