Samenvatting:
Over the past few years the Netherlands Energy Research Foundation (ECN)in Petten, Netherlands, has carried out a focussed SOFC R&D programme to
develop manufacturing protocols for second generation, anode supported, thin
electrolyte SOFC (solid oxide fuel cells) ceramic cell components using
tape-casting and screen-printing fabrication techniques. This paper
summarises the manufacturing procedure and the performance of state-of-the
art components. The short-term component optimisation R&D program that
focuses on cost reduction, performance improvement and reduction of bending
is outlined. Finally the long-term fundamental SOFC R&D program at ECN is
discussed. 11 refs.
