Samenvatting:
The result of the title project (PROMON) must form a basis for theapplication of information technology tools (data mining, data processing,
and data analysis) to support process optimization. Two cases are carried out
in which the performances are measured in terms of energy efficiency, basic
materials and additives, product quality, reliability of the process and
throughput. The cases are the manufacturing of photovoltaic solar cells and
